Darkness over the Stone Heart

Darkness envelops the heart of pure stone,
Never to escape this vortex of hate.
He left this blessed place where the sun shone,
and now my love is miles beyond to late.
If only he had heard my cry of love,
and not seen the power evil could give,
He’d be free of his prison like a dove,
And in the light we would peacefully live.
So now my friends hear my silent sad plea,
The dark black sand of time will take us all.
So change the hardness of your heart for me,
Before the sand claims you before your call.
And then perhaps you will not be alone,
Like me, forever to be on my own.
